Tenterden Primary Federation

Tenterden Primary Federation WebsiteTenterden Infant school and Tenterden Church of England Junior School are federated and thrive on working closely together to provide continuous education from EYFS to Year 6. We believe in developing our children’s natural curiosity and questioning nature with which they enter our schools.

We focus on ensuring that every child makes expected progress from their starting point and have a SENCO who works across both schools to ensure inclusion is a priority and all children’s needs are met. Children are able to excel in their talents through developing independence and sharing home study which is initiated through our Homework Menus sent out each term. We work in partnership with parents and carers using our communication system called Dojo to share weekly activities and to keep home and school united in doing the best for your child. We are proud to be part of the Tenterden Schools’ Trust working collaboratively to support all children in our trust.

We have a dedicated team of staff who support our children each day, keeping them safe and guiding them towards being informed to make good choices. We progress from the Building Learning Powers which focusses on developing the successful behaviours for learning, on to Growth Mindset in the Junior School where children welcome challenges and enjoy the personal success of achieving their aims.  We aim high and the bond between us is our school values of love, respect, perseverance and faithfulness so we can all, in a caring environment, learn grow and flourish.
