TST Governance Structure

Tenterden School Trust (TST) is a multi-academy trust with one secondary school, five primary schools and two pre-schools. Within the trust, there are three Church of England faith schools.

TST has established Local Governing Bodies for each of the Academies through the Scheme of Delegation.

Trust Members

The Members protect our charitable and educational objectives. They appoint the Trustees (Directors) to the Board, and hold annual and extraordinary general meetings. TST members are:

  • Quentin Roper - representative for The Diocese Of Canterbury Academies Company Ltd

Trust Board of Directors

The responsibilities of the Trust are held by the Board of Trustees, who are accountable to the Department for Education.
The Board delegates certain powers and duties to our Local Governing Bodies. This delegation is explained in our Scheme of Delegation (SoD). TST Board of Directors are:

Local Governing Bodies

The Local Governing Body of each of the Academies is responsible for fulfilling the strategic and operational governance role in the conduct of the Academy.

Local Governing Bodies consist of the Head Teacher governor, foundation/partnership governor, parent governors, staff governors and community governors.
