TST is looking for new Trustees who can use their skills and experience to help benefit over 2500 students within our schools. You will have leadership expertise and may be operating at Director level already. Either way, you will be aware of the 7 principles of public life and be able to join the Board of Directors as they provide strategic direction for our schools in Tenterden and the surrounding area. The Trust Board creates robust accountability, assurance and oversight of educational and financial performance and it is ambitious for all of its students.
We are looking for candidates with a range of leadership expertise and especially in finance, HR, change management, digital marketing and law. You will also bring enthusiasm, curiosity and objectivity to the role in a drive to improve our organisation.
The vision of Tenterden Schools Trust lies within our desire to serve the local community, getting students ready for what life has to throw at them and to create smooth transitions between all phases of education.

This is an unpaid voluntary role and you would be expected to attend 6 Board meetings a year and to be part of one of our committees, Finance, Academic Standards or Audit & Risk. John Mayne Primary School - Teaching Assistant

Home Farm Nursery - Early Years Practitioner Apprentice
Early Years Practitioner Apprentice
Fixed term contract depending on qualification level.
37 ½ hours per week
Two shift system – 7.45am - 4.00pm / 10.00am - 6.15pm
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to develop towards a qualification in Early Years Childcare while they earn.
The successful candidate will be able to show initiative and work well as part of the Home Farm Nursery Team. Working within a designated room and the wider nursery settings, you will have a flexible approach and a willingness to learn.
There will be a requirement to work effectively towards the qualifications associated to these apprenticeship opportunities as part of the terms of employment.
Salary: £12,480 per annum, however Apprentices will be entitled to the minimum wage appropriate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed the first year of their apprenticeship.

We are looking to appoint an experienced administrator, able to work on their own initiative as necessary. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with students with a wide variety of needs within the Learning Support Department of this innovative secondary school. Opportunities to work with individual or small groups of students for the right candidate.
You will be confident in being the central communication point for the department and, using your excellent ICT skills, you will have the ability to be adaptable. Accurate organisational skills are essential and tactful management of telephone calls to inspire the confidence of students, parents and outside agencies is a must.

The successful candidate will be part of our Learning Support team working with students who experience difficulties in accessing the curriculum.
The objective of this post is to boost the numeracy skills of targeted students to better enable these students to access the whole curriculum. The needs of the students will vary; some will have special educational needs such as Dyslexia or ASD. Our HLTAs would generally work with small groups of students, within the main classroom, to ensure students’ progress and to boost their confidence. The role will involve planning, preparing and delivering group work or team teaching with the main class teacher.
As with all HLTAs the post holder will progress students’ learning and with other professionals to support pupils’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing. It is necessary for the candidate to have qualifications in Maths/Numeracy equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2. The post requires a good standard of education and an attitude which is positive and supportive towards young people.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated person to work as part of a professional team within a self-contained unit, working with students who experience difficulties in accessing main stream education.
The successful candidate will work with individual students and small groups, sometimes using distance learning or computer aided techniques. The post holder will be expected to progress students’ learning and with other professionals, support pupils’ social, emotional and physical well-being.
The role will include support with duty management across the wider school and be the main person of contact for Twilight schooling.
It is necessary for the candidate to have qualifications in Maths/Numeracy and English/Literacy equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2, an HLTA qualification would be advantageous.

Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre - Theatre Technician
37 hours per week (flexibility with hours will be required)

We seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed person who is able to work creatively and technically in theatre, and live performing arts environments.
The successful candidate will join our Performing Arts Faculty and Theatre team supporting busy departments and a fully operational theatre. You will have a flexible approach, excellent communication skills and be able to interact well with staff across all subject areas of the school, including supporting the Music Department with the recording studio. An interest in all aspects of theatre, enthusiasm, commitment and the ability to work creatively in a theatre designing lighting and sound for shows and events.
A good working knowledge of technical aspects of theatre, including sound, lighting and stage management will be required. The position involves evening and weekend work specifically at busy production times during the calendar year and you must be happy working at heights.
You will be supported with professional development specifically with Health and Safety working in a theatre gaining accreditation (IOSH), first aid at work for theatres and lighting/sound design courses if applicable.
