About Us
Rolvenden Primary is a small, rural school comprising of 4 mixed age classes which both nurture and foster independence and confidence. We currently have 86 pupils on roll serving the children of the village and beyond.

Rolvenden Primary School is located very close to the centre of the the picturesque village itself and we have very strong community links. Our school benefits from amazing facilities including an school field, an outdoor swimming pool and a huge range of clubs and extra curricular-opportunities.
We are part of the Tenterden Schools Trust. This is a local trust and includes Homewood School, Tenterden Church of England Junior School, Tenterden Infant School, John Mayne Church of England Primary School, St. Michael's Church of England Primary School along with several local nurseries. Being part of this trust enables our staff to have additional professionals to work closely with to ensure we provide an excellent learning environment for our children and support our staff with their chosen professional development route.
We believe strongly in developing the whole child and in addition to excellent Maths and English lessons, we offer learning opportunities across the whole breadth of the curriculum, including sports, drama and art. Our staff are enthusiastic and ensure all children achieve their potential.
Job Details
Job title: Lunchtime Play Supervisor
Salary: NJC Scale 1 Point 2 (2-3) - £12.26 p/hour
Contract type: 1 hour daily - 12:15 - 13:15

Main Purpose
The Lunchtime Play Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, welfare and good behaviour of pupils during the lunch break. This includes supervising children in the playground or dining hall, encouraging positive play and social interactions, helping to resolve minor issues and supporting a calm, friendly and inclusive environment across the school.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils in the playground and other school areas during lunchtime under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Promote positive play and social interaction among pupils - including arranging of activities using resources provided.
- Monitor pupil behaviour, intervening and resolving minor disputes or incidents calmly and fairly
- Ensure pupils are safe, follow school rules and return to class promptly
- after lunch
- Encourage good table manners and support younger children with eating where necessary.
- Report any concerns or accidents to senior staff following school procedures
- Administer basic first aid (once trained)
- Support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with additional needs
- Work as part of a team to create a happy, respectful and secure lunchtime environment
- Attend relevant training as required by the school.

St Michael's Pre-School - Early Years Practitioner

Minimum of 10 hours plus cover for training and sickness.
Salary: £12.83 per hour (qualified)
Fixed term contract for 12 months, with potential to become permanent.
St Michael’s Pre-School has an opportunity for a self-motivated and passionate Early Years Practitioner who enjoys working with children and is hard working with a sense of humour.
We pride ourselves on providing high quality care to children aged 2 to 4 years. Candidates will need experience and relevant training working with early years. Training will be considered for the right candidate.

37 Hours per week, Term Time (38 weeks) plus 5 working days during the summer holidays
We require a confident, pro-active and flexible individual to manage bookings and lettings, to promote the school through social media and to run our main reception.
The successful candidate will be professional and efficient whilst providing a warm welcome to our visitors. Assisting the school in the marketing of its many facilities, you will have excellent organisational skills and will work with a wide range of community partners, dealing with all aspects of lettings. You will be social media aware and able to produce and upload content, promoting the school, sharing its news and achievements with a wide range of stakeholders.
In return, you will enjoy a unique working environment in the heart of the Weald of Kent. There is an independent nursery based on the school site.
