Tenterden Schools Trust is a mixed multi academy trust in mid-Kent that currently runs one large secondary, five primaries and three nurseries.
TST is looking for new Trustees who can use their skills and experience to help benefit over 2500 students within our schools. You will have leadership expertise and may be operating at Director level already. Either way, you will be aware of the 7 principles of public life and be able to join the Board of Directors as they provide strategic direction for our schools in Tenterden and the surrounding area. The Trust Board creates robust accountability, assurance and oversight of educational and financial performance and it is ambitious for all of its students. We are looking for candidates with a range of leadership expertise, especially in education, finance and the church or Christian ethos. You will also bring enthusiasm, curiosity and objectivity to the role in a drive to improve our organisation. All Trustees/Directors will sit on the Trust Board in order to set strategic direction, maintain financial probity and to hold the CEO to account.

This is an unpaid voluntary role and you would be expected to attend 6 Board meetings a year and to be part of one of our committees, Education (you could be a practising CEO or deputy CEO of a MAT), Finance & Resources (with finance - accountant or similar - or estate management background) and Church (someone who can support the Christian ethos of our Church schools).

Are you an organised and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting a thriving school environment? We are seeking a dedicated School Office Administrator to join our friendly team at John Mayne C of E Primary School, a vibrant primary school located in Biddenden.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, has excellent communication skills, and is adept at managing multiple priorities in a busy school office. There is also the potential for this role to include Family Liaison Officer (FLO) responsibilities for candidates with relevant experience and a passion for supporting families.
About the Role:
As our School Office Administrator, you'll be the welcoming face and organisational backbone of our school. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office, providing administrative support to staff, pupils, and parents.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing the school's reception, including welcoming visitors and handling enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
- Maintaining accurate school records and databases (e.g., pupil data, attendance, admissions).
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Assisting with financial administration, such as processing invoices and managing dinner money.
- Supporting the Headteacher and other staff with administrative tasks, including diary management and correspondence.
- Ensuring school policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Assisting with school events and trips.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous administrative experience, ideally within a school or educational setting.
- Possesses excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Is highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Is proactive, adaptable, and able to work well under pressure.
- Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, term-time only plus 5 days. Part time also considered.
Salary: NJC Scale 5, points 12-17, £23,730.38 to £25,741.95 per annum
