Home Farm Children's Nursery

Home Farm Children's Nursery WebsiteHome Farm Children's Nursery is a friendly, caring and secure environment, where all children have fun learning through exciting and challenging programmes of activity and high-quality play; where dedicated professional staff work with families to nurture each child's potential and develop their self-confidence and personal self-esteem. Home Farm Children’s Nursery looks after children from age six months to four years of age and is open all year round.

Nursery is the first step into education and we believe it is about exploration, investigation and interaction. Our aim is to take the natural curiosity of children and use it to help them build a solid foundation for their future. Children begin their Nursery journey in the Baby room, once they are walking they move to our Tweenie room; from here they progress into the Toddler room before the final stage of their learning journey with us which takes place in the Pre School Room. All children have access to indoor and outdoor play, a range of messy and sensory experiences as well as a balance of child initiated and adult led activities.

We are lucky to have a large outdoor area with planting, ride on toys and climbing equipment. The outdoor area is enhanced by access to the larger grounds of Homewood School, its working farm and use of other school facilities such as the school library.

We offer the Government’s 15 hour Early Years Entitlement to funding for three and four years olds, as well as an additional 15 hours of extended funding for working parents. Some two year olds can also access 15 hours of free funding a week – see the Government website for details.
